Frequently Asked Questions

Had a Fire? Now have a smell of Smoke?

Smoke smells can be difficult to remove from a property and its contents.

Since smoke is very fine particulate matter that spreads with air currents during a fire, these fine particulates can and do spread to a significantly greater extent than the fire itself sticking to wall surfaces, flooring materials and furniture.

What you do after a fire will dictate if you will have a lingering smell.

At Sherlock we help you to “get rid” of the smoke smell permanently.

How do we do this?

Our focus is on getting the particulates out of the building as quickly as possible and not permitting them to reenter.

As you consultants we will prepare a scope of work for the fire and smoke remediation contractor for both the structure and if needed the contents. This scope of work focuses on proper cleaning methods and procedures to get the job done quickly and effectively.

It is our objective as independent consultants (no conflicts of interests), to assist you to get the client back into their property as early as reasonably possible.

What we do that others may not…

We respond same day or next day – Sherlock is ready

We are big enough to have our Hygienists on-site when you need them, but small enough to give you personalized service. This is how we have grown so rapidly. With offices in Irvine and San Francisco, we service California effectively. We have the team and the processes to address client needs – when and where they occur

We are easy to work with

We believe every effort should be made to “do it right the first time” with challenging problems. We act constructively. Our goal is less “drama,” more results.

With Sherlock , the job
gets done more easily,
in less time,
at less expense to all.
