Thermal
Imaging
What is Thermal Imaging?
Thermal
Imaging is the use of an infrared imaging and measurement
camera to “see” and “measure” thermal
energy emitted from a building. A highly trained Thermographer
is needed to take and interpret the images.
What
this means to you following a water intrusion event (such
as a window leak), the wet surfaces are actually colder than
the surrounding area. Hence, using this technology Sherlock
can “see” and “image” them for you.
Thermal
imaging has many uses within a building beyond simply detecting
moisture. For example, thermal imaging may be used for assessing
Roof integrity as shown in the Image below:

We
can work to pin point the specific area needing attention,
while not disturbing those that are dry.
In
the end this translates to lower cost, faster repair for you
as the property owner.
Sherlock
Commercial Group has trained Thermographers available to assist
you, often on a same day basis. Please give us a call at 800
